About Pine Autoworks

Seth O’Brien’s automotive experience started alongside his father, learning automotive interiors, upholstery, and leather repair. After serving in the Marines, he continued developing his craft in Seattle-area automotive body shops from 2014 through 2016.

From 2016 through 2021, Seth worked with Same Day Auto Scratch and Dent Repair. That experience helped shape the localized mobile-repair approach behind Pine Autoworks: evaluate the actual damage, keep the work focused when appropriate, and give the customer a clear answer about what the repair can realistically achieve.

Pine Autoworks launches as an owner-led solo venture. Seth reviews estimate requests, communicates the plan, and performs the repair.

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers about repairs, photographs, estimates, locations, scheduling, and current policies.

What kinds of damage can Pine Autoworks repair?
Current services are alloy wheel repair, bumper repair, expert paint repair, and paintless dent repair. Every job is screened because size, depth, location, finish, rust, previous work, and safety requirements affect suitability.
What vehicles does Pine Autoworks service?
Everyday cars, trucks, motorcycles, fleet and commercial vehicles, and select specialty or collector vehicles may be considered.
Is this the same as conventional body-shop repair?
No. Pine Autoworks focuses on localized cosmetic repair when appropriate. Some damage requires conventional body-shop equipment or procedures, and Seth will recommend that route when it is the responsible choice.
Will a repair be completely invisible?
No absolute result is promised before the vehicle and damage are evaluated. Seth will explain what is realistic for the finish, damage, prior work, and chosen repair method.
What affects the estimate?
Damage type, dimensions, depth, location, paint finish, vehicle color, rust, previous paint or repair, access, required materials, and service location can all affect the estimate.
Why are at least three photographs required?
Multiple angles help show shape, depth, reflections, body lines, surrounding panels, and scale. Include a full-area view, a medium view, and a close view in outdoor daylight.
How should I photograph or film the damage?
Use outdoor daylight without harsh glare. Include the full vehicle area, a medium view, and a close view from different angles. A slow optional video is strongly recommended, especially for dents.
Where can I find the paint code?
Its location varies by manufacturer and model. Check common vehicle labels such as the driver-door jamb. The paint code is optional, so leave the field blank if you cannot find it.
Can dents be evaluated from photographs?
Photos and video can support initial screening, but reflections and depth are difficult to judge remotely. A final recommendation may require an in-person view.
How are rust and previously repaired panels handled?
Disclose rust and any known prior paint or repair. Either can change preparation, adhesion, color behavior, repair options, and the expected result.
Where is the work performed, and on which days?
Availability includes meeting at specific dealerships in Puyallup or Parkland on Mondays and Tuesdays. Qualifying lighter work can be scheduled on Wednesdays at a dealership in Enumclaw. Thursdays and Fridays may include service at your location or meeting at a dealership in Puyallup or Parkland. Saturday service at your location may be offered only when volume calls for it and is not guaranteed.
Does Pine Autoworks travel to customers?
Yes. Every Service at Your Location appointment carries a $250 drive-out fee. The first $125 is paid as the preliminary fee and counts toward that $250 total; it is not an additional charge. The preliminary fee is non-refundable if the job does not move forward. For Service at Your Location appointments only, travel is included up to 60 miles from Lakewood and accepted travel beyond 60 miles is charged at $5 per additional mile. Mileage charges do not apply when meeting at a dealership.
When is Paintless Dent Repair scheduled?
Paintless Dent Repair is not scheduled Wednesday or Friday and has lower general priority. Saturday morning is the preferred time for Paintless Dent Repair at your location when available.
How long does a repair take?
Wheel repair is generally 30–60 minutes per wheel. Small bumper or paint repairs are generally 1–3 hours, with larger work often 3–6 hours. Small Paintless Dent Repair jobs may take 15–60 minutes; larger or multiple dents may take 1–3 hours.
What happens after I submit a request?
Seth reviews the vehicle, damage, photographs, and requested location, then responds with the appropriate next step. Submission does not create an appointment or guarantee a final price.
How long is an estimate valid?
An estimate is valid for seven business days from the date it is provided.
What is the preliminary fee?
The $125 preliminary fee is the first portion of the $250 drive-out fee, not an additional fee. It counts toward the $250 total when the mobile visit proceeds and is non-refundable if the job does not move forward.
What is the cancellation and rescheduling deadline?
Cancellations and rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled appointment.
What are the arrival and payment policies?
The late-arrival grace period is 20 minutes. If the customer has not arrived by then, Seth leaves and the appointment must be rescheduled. A late payment fee of 10% of the total balance due is charged per month if payment is not made within seven days.
